Nearby + About Loomis
MLS #222138166 – If you have been day-dreaming of being part of the Loomis community – this is the home for you. If you are not familiar – check out the links (above/to the side) and explore all that this lovely town has to offer.
The home is nestled in the beautiful neighborhood of Miners Ravine Estate. You have no front facing neighbors and there’s great privacy in the back (see the drone photos in the carousel of photos). The curb appeal is fantastic with the covered porch, mature trees, and colonial-style symmetry. The home’s exterior paint has been recently painted so the home is fresh-feeling and inviting. You’re close to the end of a cul-de-sac – so there shouldn’t be too much traffic past neighbors and visitors. The property is nearby and faces the pond (part of the HOA common grounds) – it’s a fun catch-and-release set-up.
This beautiful Loomis retreat functions like a single-story home, but also includes a second-level loft (office/guest bedroom/game room). You can grow old in this home and not have to worry about navigating stairs to reach the bedrooms (the loft is the only interior space that’s on the second level of the house). The office is in the tandem part of the three-car garage and it is not included in the square footage of the home (but if you work remotely and need to be away from the buzz of the main house – this space is a must-have). The primary bedroom has great separation from the other bedrooms and is positioned on the north wing of the home.
Bedroom two and three are on the south wing (closest to the garage and laundry room). The second level loft is a nice size and is positioned near the great room. The primary bedroom is spacious and includes slider backyard access. The primary bath has a large double-sink vanity with a walk-in closet and a separate shower stall and tub. In the living room, you’ll find a Bose surround system (pre-wired) along with a Heos (Denon) wireless speaker set-up in the dining room and backyard. Monthly budgets are improved with owned solar – seller can upon request share a winter and summer cycle. No lease or PPA solar equipment to worry about here. The seller has done numerous upgrades and an updates sheet will be available. The kitchen has been redone and is beautiful. More updates to the home include: owned solar, light fixtures, fence, many appliances, garage door and opener, and more.
From the seller: “We love the pool and the backyard. The yard and house are great for entertaining with the island in the kitchen a natural gathering place (both for BBQ’s – great for staging food, as well as indoor parties). The pool is very deep and everyone likes jumping off the platform. The basketball hoop is height adjustable – so it’s fun for all ages. When guests stay, we like to walk across and grab wine at Casque or brunch at Flower Farm. The neighborhood holds an easter egg hunt for the kids and grandkids of neighbors, we also have a “4th of July” party with water balloon fights, kids’ bike parade, and enjoy strawberry shortcake. Those who live in the neighborhood can enjoy the pond that’s part of the neighborhood and HOA (catch-and-release). In the common area of the community, there are mandarin trees which have a very large harvest in winter.”
One of our favorite parts of this property is definitely the backyard (see the photos at twilight). It’s a fantastic place to be active with some hoops, or to decompress and relax poolside with the fountain running in the background (a desirable PebbleTec pool). You also have a great side yard storage for RV / boat storage (buyer to verify size works for them). The current owners have enjoyed almost every corner of this lot. You can see how they have been using it – BBQ/smoker zone, outdoor dining, sleepy hammock retreat, sports court, an obstacle course for their kids, a place sharpen your golf skills, and still have plenty of room for a storage shed and more. The seller has updated the RV access gate and fence. You also have a spa hook-up closer to the primary bedroom. The seller has also added a whole house fan which QUICKLY and quietly cools down the house (and airs out the space).
One thing you may not readily notice – if you visit in the evening – be sure to look up and see how bright the stars are! There’s no city lights to obstruct your starry view.
This home is the best of both worlds – a space with great functionality, a manageable yard without the acreage to stress over, a well-maintained neighborhood, and you can experience a different pace of life away from the suburban buzz. PLUS, you still have fairly quick access to shopping, dining, medical, and outdoor / indoor activities for all ages.
If there’s anything we haven’t addressed about the house or area – let us know, the seller is happy to get you acquainted to the space with answers to your questions. Welcome home.

Activities + Location
Loomis has it all – a country vibe with quick proximity to all your shopping and dining desires. We’re 1.5hr from Tahoe, even less for Truckee. Two hours from San Francisco, under an 1.5 hour to Napa. And many folks don’t realize all of our winery and breweries we have locally. Not to mention right nearby there’s many cool farms nearby to check out.
Location-wise for this specific property: you’re close to wineries, wine tasting rooms and farms (including one just a block or two away at Flower Farms – yoga, live music, pumpkin farm, and events location), beach and park access at Folsom Lake (Granite Bay, Beal’s Point, and more), boat ramp at Rattlesnake Bar nearby, equestrian stables, plus so many nearby trails to explore.
No matter what age range you’re at (well, you know what we mean) – young at heart or young in age – there are so many local clubs and sports groups to explore. From soccer, hiking, baseball, biking, football, swim clubs, water polo to knitting, and quilt clubs – there is something for everyone.
Schools – there are many options and the local schools are all highly rated. Buyer to verify zoning, but you do have Placer Elementary right nearby (a two-minute drive). And if you noticed all the D.O. logo stickers around town, you’ll quickly learn about the pride of Del Oro Golden Eagles. We have a link to the elementary/middle school and high school district above.
Shopping wise – you have Raley’s grocery store in both directions (heading to Granite Bay or towards I-80). Off the Sierra College exit you have numerous shopping and dining options – both local and chain. As well as Sierra College junior college – a top-rated junior college.
Heading west down the freeway, you also have the “The Fountains,” you’ll find weekly farmer’s markets along with an amazing outdoor shopping experience. Be sure to see the Placer Grown website – as they do a great job mapping how to find local farms and farmer’s markets. Across the street from The Fountains – is the “Galleria Mall” with just about every local store you can think of … If you have questions about the area – we’re happy to answer!
Winter months are mandarin time – with some types in season now and others after the holidays. It’s the best immunity boost and if you haven’t had our local mandarins – you have been missing out. Luckily at this location – you have mandarins right in your neighborhood to access as part of the HOA.
